Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light/heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision of a senior tech and must maintain tools and parts, document work on RO using iOS and TRAIT.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and independent scheduling. Candidates should have a HS diploma, ASE certifications within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 3–5 years related field experience acceptable.
• ASE certifications listed within 18 months of hire.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory knowledge and DOT pre-employment screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, cooling, braking and drivetrain systems.
• Document work on RO via iOS device and TRAIT app; manage parts inventory.
• Maintain safety checks; operate service truck and meet productivity targets.
• Coordinate with management for repair approvals and PO numbers.
