Job summary

Cox Fleet in Nashville is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance in a mobile/field setting, servicing light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role includes diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation using our TRAIT application.

You will work with a crew under supervision of senior technicians, maintain a service vehicle, manage parts inventory, and meet safety and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience.
• ASE T8 certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Federal DOT/FMCSA and DOT physical requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to identify malfunctions using tools and test devices.
• Document RO findings, parts used, and photos using iOS TRAIT app.
