Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Memphis, TN to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, service, and document work on trucks while complying with safety regulations.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostics, road testing, managing parts and schedules, and maintaining the service truck and related equipment, with a focus on efficiency and quality in a dynamic mobile setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience or equivalent
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• Must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical
• Valid driver’s license and interstate driving eligibility
• DOT medical card (or valid DOT physical)

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and drivetrain systems
• Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation
• Document work including RO notes, parts used, and photos via TRAIT app
• Manage parts inventory and schedule with minimal supervision
• Ensure safety and environmental policy compliance and OSHA/DOT regulations
