Job summary

CoxFleet in Rochester, NY is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and field repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and document findings using our TRAIT application.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, DOT background check, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Must possess a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Valid state driver’s license and at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy trucks in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and related systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation and identify issues.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
