Job summary

Cox Fleet in Rochester, NY is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, road test vehicles, and document all work with our TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years in related field.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Ase T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems as needed.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Document findings and parts used on RO via company iOS app.
• Manage daily schedule, obtain approvals for repair estimates and PO numbers.
• Follow safety, health, and DOT regulations and maintain service truck.
