Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, test vehicles on road, and maintain the service truck while documenting work in the TRAIT app.

Requires HS diploma/GED with 3+ years in related field, ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, and valid driver’s license with DOT requirements. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years’ related experience or equivalent combination.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification preferred or to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance knowledge a must.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT medical/d background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and hydraulics.
• Test and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
• Maintain service truck, manage inventory, and document RO via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for approvals and purchase orders.
