Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a field/mobile setting.

You will work under supervision of senior technicians, advance diagnostic skills, manage parts and service truck, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Prior ASE T8 certification preferred; strong tool and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience or higher degree/certification
• Must be able to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform PM inspections, DOT inspections, and repairs on mobile trucks
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose issues
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory
• Document repairs and upload photos using company app
