Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on fleet vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems, manage parts and documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A HS diploma and ASE T8 within 18 months are required; DOT medical card preferred. Weekly pay and strong career growth await.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years related experience; or 5 years related experience.
• Own hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• DOT medical card valid or willing to obtain.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnostics and repairs on electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and drive systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and company service truck operations.
• Document work with RO, upload photos via TRAIT app.
• Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety standards.
