Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, conduct road tests, and document findings.

Work under supervision for advanced diagnostics and maintain productivity with safety compliance. Requirements include HS/GED with 3 years of related experience (or 5 years), ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months, and valid DOT medical card or DOT

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Must supply hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair, and service electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using appropriate test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to confirm proper operation after repairs and maintenance.
