Job summary

Cox Fleet in Edison, NJ is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and electrical/mechanical diagnostics in a mobile field environment. You will lead on-site diagnostics, triage complex repairs, and communicate findings to customers and management.

Requirements include 3+ years in related field, DOT compliance, ASE T8 certification preferred, and the ability to operate a service vehicle and tools safely in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant field experience.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and related ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain service truck and complete documentation on RO with mobile devices.
