Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Hyannis, MA to perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, testing vehicles, and managing parts inventory. Requires HS diploma/GED and DOT compliance; ASE certifications preferred and training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) and 3+ years in related field.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification and ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs using iOS TRAIT app and repair orders.
