Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Hillsborough, NJ to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile environment. The role requires 3+ years experience with trucks, refrigeration equipment, and hand tools, with ASE certifications preferred.

You will work independently on service trucks, conduct safety checks, and document findings in Repair Orders using company TRAIT app. The position offers a competitive weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and troubleshoot faults.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory for service trucks and update RO documentation.
• Operate and maintain company service vehicle with pre-/post-trip safety checks.
