Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems, and document findings via TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, 3+ years in related field, and ASE certifications. DOT compliance and safety are emphasized; company offers extensive benefits and a defined career path.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years in related field preferred.
• ASE PMI 608/609 certs within 18 months preferred; other ASE certifications listed are advantageous.
• DOT regulatory compliance experience is essential; ability to complete DOT forms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling systems, and engine/electrical components.
• Document work, upload RO details, parts used, and findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and team to obtain approvals and relay repair estimates.
