Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Florida to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, road test vehicles, and document findings on Repair Orders via our TRAIT app.

The role leads on jobsites, interacts with customers, and ensures safety compliance. Valid DOT prerequisites, tools, and a strong diagnostics background are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related field experience or 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own hand tools and the ability to supply them for required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and ability to obtain required medical/dot certs.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and related components.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles; document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck; conduct safety checks.
• Coordinate with clients and management for estimates, approvals and RO notes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company safety policies.
