Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive division, is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role involves working afternoons with some weekends, and requires reliability and strong diagnostics skills.

Eligible candidates will maintain safety standards, manage parts inventory, document findings with the TRAIT app, and communicate with the support team for approvals.

Qualifications

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light to heavy trucks in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and hydraulic systems.
• Adhere to safety and DOT regulations during all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, road test, and document work using RO and TRAIT app.
• Maintain inventory on the service truck and coordinate with management for approvals.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements.
