Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for on-site maintenance and repair of light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, diagnostics, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting, with supervision from a Sr. technician as needed.

Responsibilities include road testing, parts procurement, documentation, and adherence to safety and DOT regulations. Weekly pay and company benefits are offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field or 5 years experience accepted.
• Valid DOT medical card; able to pass DOT pre-employment screening.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brakes, cooling, steering, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO notes via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and communicate repair estimates to management.
