Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs across a mobile/field fleet. You will diagnose complex issues, triage repairs, and lead on-site teams while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related field experience or 5 years' related field experience.
• At least 3 years with refrigerated equipment.
• Own hand tools; DOT/FMCSA compliance and DOT medical card requirements.
• ASE certifications preferred and DOT regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on mobile/field units.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles; document findings and RO updates.
• Manage parts on service truck; communicate with management for approvals.
• Maintain safety checks, pre/post-trip inspections, and compliance with DOT/OSHA.
