Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs on fleet vehicles in a mobile/field environment. You’ll work under supervision to advance diagnostic skills and meet safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years related experience or equivalent, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid DOT-physical or card. Strong problem-solving, time management, and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience; or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA compliance required.
• Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation post-repair.
• Manage parts inventory and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and purchase orders; comply with safety regs.
