Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II- DOT to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs for a fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles. You will operate a company service truck and use handheld devices to document work and parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 1 year with higher qualification, or 5 years without degree.
• Able to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines and transmissions.
• Use diagnostic tools and handheld devices to inspect and document work.
• Road test vehicles and verify repairs for safety and performance.
• Maintain service truck and parts inventory; lodge accurate service records.
