Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II- DOT to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs. You’ll take your skills on the road, support on-site service for various fleets, and operate a company service vehicle.

Be prepared to work independently, document work and parts, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance. ASE T8 readiness and a strong toolkit are preferred for success.

Qualificações

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years related work or 5 years without degree.
• Own hand tools required to perform job duties.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsabilidades

• Work independently in the field, providing mobile service for fleets.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair truck systems (electrical, brakes, cooling, engine, transmissions).
• Use diagnostic tools and handheld devices to inspect and test systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure safety.
• Maintain and operate a company service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Complete DOT forms and service documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with management for estimates and approvals.
