Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You’ll work independently, taking home the assigned service vehicle and supporting a nationwide network of service centers.

The role requires DOT/FMCSA compliance, ASE PMI (T8) certification within 18 months, and 3+ years of related experience. A $3,000 new hire bonus is available, with additional incentives possible.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related experience.
ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months.
DOT/ FMCSA compliance knowledge and DOT background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems and related components.
Road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety, and document results.
Manage parts inventory and reconcile stock on the service truck.
Upload photos and RO documentation via TRAIT on iOS device.
