Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a field setting. You will operate a company-issued service truck, manage parts inventory, and document findings using our TRAIT app.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, with weekly pay, provided uniform and safety gear, and opportunities for career growth within a large national network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; DOT/regulatory compliance experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform PMs, inspections and field repairs on various heavy vehicles.
• Ability to read repair orders and document work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile service and maintenance for light to heavy-duty vehicles in field setting.
• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Handle parts inventory and manage service truck documentation and RO uploads.
• Communicate with customers and management to clarify needs and approvals.
• Maintain safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections and compliance with DOT/OSHA rules.
• Obtain parts from vendors and work within standard repair times when possible.
