Job summary

Cox Automotive's Cox Fleet division seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of commercial vehicles. You’ll drive a company vehicle, manage parts, and document work using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field, or 5 years experience in related field.
• Ability to obtain ASE T8 PMI or similar certification within 18 months.
• Must have DOT/regulatory compliance awareness and pass DOT background screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and transmissions.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain and operate company-issued service truck and conduct routine safety checks.
• Document work in TRAIT app with photos and RO notes.
