Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to maintain a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks, performing complex mechanical repairs with minimal supervision.

You will do preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire, brake and electrical work, with mobile repair duties and possible on-site driving. A valid CDL may be required depending on location and you must have at least 2 years of medium-/heavy-duty repair experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License Class A, B, or C; CDL may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs.
• Mobile repair duties; may travel to vehicle locations and may drive Budget Trucks on public roads when needed.
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers using diesel and medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime.
