Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an experienced technician to service a fleet of newer cargo vans and box trucks. You will perform standard and complex mechanical repairs with minimal supervision, including PM, oil changes, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics, and warranty work.

This role involves mobile repairs, traveling to vehicle locations to diagnose and resolve issues quickly, with possible on-road driving of Budget Trucks to support repair or transport needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs.
• This role includes mobile repair responsibilities and may involve driving Budget Trucks on public roads.
