Job summary

Avis Budget Group's Budget Truck division is seeking an experienced technician to perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks across brands. You’ll work with minimal supervision, conduct preventive maintenance, and support on-site and mobile repairs to keep vehicles on the road.

The role requires ASE certification(s), a valid CDL may be needed, and the ability to travel to customer locations.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of mechanical repair experience on medium- or heavy-duty trucks and vans.
• ASE certifications preferred; ability to obtain more within the first year.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL may be required depending on location; DOT medical clearance may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on cargo vans and box trucks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, oil/fluid services, tire, brake and suspension work.
• Diagnose electrical systems and warranty-related repairs.
• Mobile repair to diagnose and resolve issues at customer locations; may drive Budget Trucks on public roads.
• Work on newer vehicles across brands with diesel/medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime.
