Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with limited supervision. You will support experienced technicians and may travel to breakdowns to service vehicles on-site, helping keep deliveries moving.

The role requires a valid CDL and at least two years of heavy-duty repair experience; ASE certs are encouraged with opportunities to gain more within the first year. On-site work only.

Qualifications

• CDL license (A/B/C) required or able to obtain.
• 2+ years of heavy/medium-duty repair experience.
• At least 1 ASE certification with potential to gain 2 more within a year.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must have a complete set of auto repair tools.

Responsibilities

• As Diesel Mechanic, perform routine maintenance and repairs on cargo vans and box trucks.
• Assist experienced mechanics with complex repairs as needed.
• Travel to vehicle locations to perform on-site repairs and get vehicles back on the road.
• May operate Budget Truck on public roads as required.
