Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a diesel/mechanical technician in Covina, CA to perform standard and complex repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks, including preventive maintenance and electrical diagnostics.

This role includes mobile repair duties, occasional on-site travel to diagnose and resolve issues, and may involve driving Budget Trucks on public roads to get customers back on the road quickly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical repair experience on medium- or heavy-duty equipment
• Able to diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventive maintenance
• Must have own set of automotive tools and ability to work outdoors

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluids, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics, and warranty work
• Occasionally travel to customer locations to diagnose and resolve issues, and potentially drive Budget Trucks on public roads
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple brands using diesel and medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime
