Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain fleet operations and perform service calls at client locations. You will provide service with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, including inspection, parts removal and reconditioning as needed.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel engine trucks using manuals and diagnostic tools, maintaining safety standards, and documenting work performed in the company system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Have a current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMCSA.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and ensure proper stocking.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Read job orders and determine malfunction to plan procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and document work.
