Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to maintain fleets and handle on-site service calls at client locations. You will diagnose, repair, and service heavy-duty trucks, manage tool inventory, and coordinate with the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and ensure vehicle is stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls with flexible schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose using diagnostic equipment to plan procedures.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs including components like injectors, pistons, and bearings.
• Document work performed in the company system and ensure accuracy.
