Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in the United States is seeking a Mobile Service Diesel Mechanic to support our customers at client locations. You will perform on-site maintenance and diagnostics, addressing components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, transmissions, and more with dedicated diagnostic tools.

The role requires 5 years of Class 7 & 8 truck experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealer or truck service facility.
• CDL is preferred but not required; a medical card is required.
• Ase certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic truck maintenance including fuel, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager with daily assigned duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and open work schedules.
• Diagnose, remove and replace components using diagnostic equipment and tech docs.
• Document work in the company computer system and complete paperwork timely.
• Ensure safety checks on trucks and adjust as needed.
• Communicate repairs to customers and/or service writers for next steps.
