Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Engineer in Downers Grove, IL to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, industrial systems, vehicles, and equipment.

You will oversee mechanical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, review work orders, estimate materials, and ensure operations meet client specifications. You will implement preventive programs, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards while using company vehicles to perform daily tasks on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience; combo of experience and education acceptable.
• Valid Driver’s license and Universal CFC certification required.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time/materials, and manage inventory of supplies and tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and handle emergency maintenance as needed.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure compliance with design specs.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Operate company vehicles in daily work responsibilities.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to solve complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to reach consensus.
• Impact customer, operational, and service activities within the team and related groups.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies and explain difficult information.
