Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mission Engineering Analyst to model multi-domain systems in AF SIM and integrate Leidos software within the AF SIM framework. You will work with other technical leaders to develop complex scenarios across space, air, maritime and ground domains for decision support and insights.

The role requires DoD program experience, strong programming in Python/MATLAB, and an ability to collaborate across diverse teams in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• 4+ years of modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably using AF SIM.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB.
• Deep understanding of military operations at mission/campaign level on DoD programs.
• Experience modeling military systems in multiple domains.
• Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop models of multi-domain systems of systems and software in mission‑level simulations using AFSIM.
• Create advanced models of space, air, maritime, and ground systems and evaluate them.
• Apply Object‑Oriented Programming to maximize M&S scalability.
• Analyze simulation results to communicate effectiveness for real‑world use.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and analysts to boost productivity.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Document model development processes and best practices for reuse.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AFSIM capabilities.
