Job summary

Axon is seeking a Mission Engineer II to work directly with public safety agencies, turning operational challenges into scalable technical solutions. You will embed with agencies, learn their workflows, and apply Axon tools and AI to build lasting outcomes.

You will grow your expertise across the Axon ecosystem, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive adoption while ensuring security, reliability, and value for the agencies served.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in solutions engineering or related hands-on technical roles.
• Foundational software engineering capability and demonstrated experience building technical solutions.
• Working knowledge of APIs, scripting, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and onsite presence.

Responsibilities

• Embed with agencies to understand mission, people, workflows, systems, and priorities.
• Develop knowledge of Axon ecosystem and deployed products.
• Work with frontline users and agency leadership to uncover friction and requirements.
• Translate problems into clear technical requirements and measurable success criteria.
• Identify opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities to improve operations.
• Build applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon tools.
