Job summary

Unity Bay is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead a team of 200, aligning people practices with the organization's mission. This senior role blends strategy with hands-on execution, aiming to foster an inclusive culture, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence.

As the chief HR officer, you will design and implement HR strategies, oversee policy development, recruitment, training, and employee relations, and partner with the CEO to advance organizational goals in a nonprofit

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field required.
• Seven to ten years HR experience, including at least 3 in senior leadership.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
• Non-profit or human services experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy aligned with mission and goals.
• Ensure legal compliance and policy development.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and job descriptions.
• Develop training, culture-building and succession planning.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
• Manage HR records, systems, and claims processes.
• Provide executive support to CEO and leadership.
