Job summary

United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO) is seeking a Center Operations Specialist in Atlanta, GA. You will execute daily center operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment and high-quality programs for service members and families.

Responsibilities include engaging visitors, managing budgets and inventory, coordinating volunteers, and supporting communications. Local candidates with related experience are preferred and a strong sense of mission is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role.
• Experience in nonprofit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with computers and electronics; familiar with MS Office; volunteer management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Engage with Center visitors; provide information on amenities, tours, classes, programs and services.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, cash handling and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for local operations.
• Plan and oversee programs, events and activities; coordinate resources and volunteers.
• Support communications and outreach via social media and local media.
