Job summary

The USO seeks a Center Operations Specialist to run daily operations at one or more USO Centers, ensuring a safe, friendly space for service members and families. You will support programs, events and activities, coordinate volunteers, and help deliver high‑quality experiences across locations.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills, plus experience in event or facility operations. Local applicants near Eastover, SC are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years work experience in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment; familiarity with Microsoft Office and volunteer management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Engage with Center visitors; manage vendors and coordinate programs with stakeholders.
• Monitor budget, inventory, cash handling; provide reports as required.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for local operations and activities.
• Plan and oversee programs, logistics, and events in and around the Center.
