Sargent & Lundy, a leading engineering firm, seeks a mid-level structural design engineer for a hybrid role in Albuquerque. You will lead design efforts, produce calculations and drawings, and mentor junior staff on multi-disciplinary projects.

The position requires ABET-accredited degree, 7+ years' experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain government security clearance. Travel to project sites will be needed; the firm offers strong benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain US government security clearance.
• ABET-accredited BSSE/MSSE degree.
• 7+ years in structural engineering.
• Experience with foundations, structures, and DOE sites preferred.
• Travel to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design engineering on multi-discipline project teams.
• Produce engineering calculations, analyses, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Ensure deliverables meet project requirements and are technically sound.
• Develop construction and procurement specifications (structural).
• Monitor work of assigned staff and keep tasks on schedule and budget.
• Attend project meetings and conduct field walkdowns.
• Mentor junior engineers.
