Layton Construction in Tulsa, OK seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution of multiple construction projects. You will help deliver quality, maintain profitability, and foster client relationships under the Layton Way.

You will assist in preparing estimates, budgets, schedules, and coordination with subs; monitor costs, safety and quality; and support project close-out and post-project reviews. A relevant engineering/construction degree is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Commercial Construction.
• Has a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills by expressing ideas clearly and effectively.
• Knows commercial construction processes thoroughly.
• Understands construction laws and practices.
• Has strong negotiation skills.
• Understands and applies building codes and other design requirements correctly.

Responsabilidades

• Champions "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures that "Constructing with Integrity" is delivered with honesty, unity, safety, and quality.
• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project.
• Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports.
• Assists the project team in preparing the project management plan.
• Participates in value engineering services as appropriate.
• Organizes and conducts pre-construction planning meetings.
• Participates in the successful negotiation of project subcontracts.
• Participates in obtaining permits and resolving regulatory requirements.
• Prepares a project schedule and milestones with the Project Superintendent.
• Develops monthly client pay requests and follows up on collection of billings per contract terms.
• Maintains owner relations.
• Obtains and reviews plans and specifications and determines completeness.
• Plans the successful execution of the construction contract.
• Manages project materials and equipment procurement within budget and schedule.
• Develops and monitors project quality, safety, and risk management plans.
• Regular site visits with the project superintendent to monitor costs, safety, quality, and schedule.
• Evaluates and modifies schedules and self-performed work as needed.
• Negotiates change orders and manages cost/profit impact.
• Controls payment of job costs and coordinates with the job cost accountant.
• Attends and documents owner and coordination meetings.
• Coordinates final close-out procedures (as-builts, punch lists, final billing, permits, warranties, close-outs).
• Participates in post-completion project review and contributes to estimating database.
• Increases project profitability and promotes Layton objectives and goals.
• Directs organization and preparation of project documents for storage.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
