Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution of commercial construction projects. You may manage multiple projects, ensuring quality, profitability, and alignment with owner expectations.

You will assist in estimating, budgeting, scheduling, subcontracts, quality and safety plans, and client relationships. Strong communication and coordination with teams are essential, with opportunity to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience on ground-up commercial projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand building codes.
• Ethical conduct and alignment with Layton policies.
• Spanish basics preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of construction projects.
• Assist in budgeting, schedules, and cost reports.
• Prepare estimates and review plans; coordinate with owners and subcontractors.
• Lead meetings, coordinate with stakeholders, and track submittals.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
