Dinges Fire State Manager Job Description

1. This position requires a manager who understands the word ‘FLUID’. Dinges Fire is a growing company, and the list of responsibilities can change at short notice. It is vital that the State Manager can adapt and thrive amidst change.
2. Must have a firefighter background and understand all aspects of Fire Department and EMS needs. We are Firefighters Selling to Firefighters!
3. The position requires weekly travel within the State, attending meetings at the Amboy home office and Fire Shows as needed. Traveling within your assigned State and working with our Sales Team and Fire Departments is a key responsibility.
4. This is a remote sales position. The State Manager must be adept at growing the business without daily in-person management and must have a home office setup.
5. Dedicated to providing excellent customer service to Fire Departments, aiming to build personal relationships with every Fire Department Chief and Decision Maker in the State.
6. Knowledge of managing 1099 distributors/sales reps and personnel is required.
7. Experience in onboarding is essential, as the role involves recruiting 1099 Sales Reps to cover your assigned State departments.
8. Strong managerial skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
9. Ideal candidates will have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
10. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and comfort with web-based sales programs and social media is required.
11. Ideally, the candidate resides in the State they are assigned to.
