Dinges Fire State Manager Job Description

1. This position requires a manager who understands the word ‘FLUID’. Dinges Fire is a growing company. Responsibilities can be added or removed at short notice. It is vital that the State Manager can adapt and thrive amidst change.
2. Must have a firefighter background and understand all aspects of Fire Department and EMS needs. We are Firefighters Selling to Firefighters!
3. The position requires weekly travel within the State, along with several trips annually to the Amboy home office and Fire Shows as needed. Traveling within your assigned State to work with our Sales Team and Fire Departments is a key aspect of this role.
4. This is a remote sales position. The State Manager must be capable of growing the business independently without daily in-person management. Home office setup is required.
5. Provide excellent customer service to Fire Departments, aiming for every Fire Department Chief and Decision Maker in the State to know you personally. This is a challenging but essential goal.
6. Manage 1099 distributors/sales reps and personnel effectively.
7. Experience in onboarding is necessary, as the role involves recruiting 1099 Sales Reps to cover your assigned State fully.
8. Strong managerial, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
9. The ideal candidate should have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
10. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with web-based sales programs are required.
11. Ideally, the State Manager resides in the assigned State.
