Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Automation / Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team. The role develops foundation in consulting-based automation and control system design across North America, with opportunities to lead or support multidisciplinary projects in mining, power, oil & gas, and renewables.

You will collaborate with engineers, EITs, designers, and vendors, delivering I&C drawings, specifications, and control system architectures while ensuring quality and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
A Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed).

Responsibilities

Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases (PFS, FS, detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up).
Site work including investigations, scope validation, construction, commissioning and start-up support.
Lead the design and development of I&C drawings and specifications, and support procurement decisions.
