Job summary
Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks an Automation / Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Energy and Resources consulting team.
You will grow in consulting‑based Automation / instrumentation and control system design across North America, including mining, power, and energy transition projects. The role involves leading and supporting design, PLC/DCS/HMI architectures, I&C drawings, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- 5–10 years of engineering, design and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
- Professional Engineering license or the ability to become licensed.
Responsibilities
- Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases, construction and start-up.
- Lead design and development of I&C drawings, wiring diagrams and instrument installations.
- Design PLC/DCS/HMI/SCADA architectures and integrate with vendor equipment packages.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients, and travel ~10% as required.
