Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow millwork product sales with builders and subcontractors across residential and commercial projects. You will manage client relationships, present product features, and perform take-offs and estimates while visiting sites to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes building lasting partnerships, expanding interior millwork lines, and maintaining thorough customer information and trends to drive sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of millwork sales experience.
• Ability to cold call and grow relationships with customers.
• Read blueprints and perform take-offs.
• Visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops relationships with customers and subcontractors to determine needs and provide services.
• Attains and maintains sales of all interior and millwork products.
• Gives presentations to builders on product features and benefits.
• Performs take-offs and prepares estimates; ensures orders are accurate and shipped on time.
