Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Houston seeks a warehouse supervisor to manage receiving, putaway, picking, loading and shipping while ensuring safety, accuracy and efficiency. You will lead daily activities, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution center.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a DC, knowledge of RF devices, and a forklift certification. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years distribution center experience.
• 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a re-distribution/distribution center.
• Experience with handheld RF units.
• Voice recognition preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure quality and safety.
• Manage staff performance through motivation, delegation, development and mentoring.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate policy changes.
• Participate in staff selection, evaluations and corrective actions.
• Review procedures and improve operational structure for efficiency.
• Monitor departmental expenses and provide resources for daily activities.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping policies and conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain productivity reports and end-of-shift walk-throughs.
• Coordinate with safety to train staff and perform safety inspections.
• Build relationships with internal partners, vendors and customers.
