Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and service levels. The role emphasizes staff leadership, training, and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities include supervising staff performance, conducting pre-shift meetings, coordinating with safety, and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and improve productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years equivalent education/work experience in a distribution center.
• 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a re-distribution/distribution center.
• Experience with handheld RF units.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• OSHA knowledge and warehouse procedures experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities and performance.
• Ensure safety, staffing, training, and quality compliance.
• Manage employee performance, mentorship and evaluations.
• Foster engagement through pre-shift meetings and clear communication.
• Lead process improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost reductions.
• Maintain reports and logs and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Coordinate with safety department for training and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
