Job summary

Relative Dynamics seeks a Mid-Level System Engineer to support the USGS ERDC program from Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time, onsite role requires regular in-person collaboration with scientists and partners on satellite communications projects.

You will contribute to ground station systems, RF equipment, and associated hardware, while coordinating with the Systems, Hardware, and Software teams. A strong systems engineering background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Satellite Communications/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in Satellite Communications Engineering or equivalent.
• US Citizenship required due to ITAR requirements.
• Three years of continuous residency in the U.S. for Government security credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and maintenance for all ground station equipment.
• Provide Satellite Communications systems engineering support to develop ground-based systems per mission requirements (antennas, RF equipment, and ground station components).
• Coordinate activities and technical status with Systems Engineers, Hardware and Software Engineers, and project teams.
• Conduct systems engineering activities per the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Support operations concepts, requirements development and documentation of interfaces.
• Perform architecture and trade studies, develop integration plans, and execute formal testing and analysis.
