Relative Dynamics, a subcontractor supporting USGS EROS Center, seeks a Mid-Level System Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD for a full-time, onsite position. You will join a team delivering satellite communications and ground station solutions, coordinating with engineers and mission partners.

The role emphasizes hands-on system development, ground station maintenance, and engagement with partners to meet mission requirements. US citizenship and residency criteria apply for ITAR and security checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Satellite Communications/Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years in Satellite Communications Engineering or equivalent; LE0 experience is a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR requirements.
• Three years of continuous residency in the U.S. for Government credential eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and maintenance for ground station equipment.
• Provide Satellite Communications systems engineering support to develop ground-based systems per mission requirements (antenna, RF equipment, ground station).
• Coordinate activities and status with Systems/HW/Software Engineers and project teams.
• Conduct systems engineering activities per the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Assist in developing operations concepts, requirements, and interface definitions.
• Perform architecture and trade studies, integration planning, and formal testing/analysis.
• Support integration activities at remote partner locations.
• Ensure activities follow standards and best practices; manage CM change requests.
