Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering, within the Design Engineering department, is seeking a Mid Level Electrical/Controls Engineer to contribute to power facilities across North America. You will apply design techniques, develop specifications, and coordinate with project teams to meet safety, quality, and budget goals.

The role offers remote-start in Chattanooga with eventual hybrid/in-office work; you'll mentor junior engineers and collaborate with vendors, fabricators, and owners on control systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• PE registration is preferred.
• Experience with SCADA systems and PLC; DCS experience is desirable.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for projects of varying sizes and complexity.
• Develop technical specifications; perform bid evaluations and equipment selections.
• Coordinate design efforts with project personnel and external partners.
• Mentor entry and mid-level engineers and provide coaching as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams, vendors, fabricators, and owners on electrical/IC concepts.
